So, what's the big deal about Friends?
'Friends' aired in 1994, and was centered around the struggles of six 20-somethings trying to make it in New York. The show explores their love lives, careers, and overall social life. Central Perk, a local coffee shop, and Monica's apartment serve as commonplaces for the friends. The audience gets to see each character grow from a clueless 20-something, to a completely self sufficient adult. The show cultivated a cult following due to it's highly aspired to lifestyle, even though it's unrealistic.
